My after Christmas sale items

I just love love after Christmas sales. Today I got the large santa and the white one for half price! I know Santa items should be put away now but I just had to enjoy them a little more if even for a few more days. I think that these are called Bersnickels, am I correct?

I also got the snowman to hang on my cupboard door, he also was half price. Love him too

Any body else finding any good after Christmas great buys??

Count down is on 6 days to go till this cast comes off. I never thought I would get sick of getting wheeled around but I am!

A few of my small favorites

Here are a few of my favorite small decorations that I have recently purchased. I am trying so hard to get into the Christmas Spirit but I have to admit its just not there this year. 2 more weeks today till the cast come off (hopefully), My decorations are just not where I want them and I am forced to just deal with it, since hubby is just decorating challenged and he has all the other household chores to do so cant expect any more out of him.

I was able to get out to one of my favorite prim shops today, and bought the 3 small santa bersnickels, LOVE THEM! And I hope you notice my santa reading my favorite new magazine- A Primitive Place- tucked into my crock with some other items I have purchased from fellow bloggers.

I hope all of you have wonderful Holidays and please those of you that are getting loads of snow, KEEP it, thats how I fell and I dont need to break my other leg.

I have sooo enjoyed all the wonderful blogs you have shared and all the breathtaking pictures of your homes you have posted. I look forward to many many more.

Rainy/cold/icy day in Northeast

Woke up this morning to ice, which now has turned to all rain, its just a yucky day! I decided to send another picture, this is my yellow lab Abby in front of my Christmas tree. Of course this is before she decided to remove one of my garlands (cranberry and popcorn) and eat all the popcorn! It was a purchased piece and im kinda bummed because I can not get out to get another. Many of you may already know, I fell Nov. 8 and broke my ankle, both the tibia and fibia and I am non weight bearing for 8 weeks, so here I sit in my wheelchair and enjoy all the lovely pictures you have posted. It has definitely helped me get into the Christmas spirit this year! THANK YOU!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful welcome and thanks to Tam for sharing my blog and getting me all these new friends.

I have so enjoyed adding more blogs and reading all your wonderful stories and of course so enjoying all the wonderful pictures of your gorgeous homes, so jealous!

I will share with all of you a picture of my other fireplace which is in my now dining room, (yeah I move rooms around alot LOL)

I would like to take a poll, this fireplace is red as you can see, and I was thinking about painting it black and then grungy it up a bit, my other furniture is black, the table, chairs and hutch, will it be too dark and show all the animal hair or will it look nice?

Today was my day to decorate the fireplace, one of 2 that we have. I love the way it came out!
Every year I try something new, this year I have branch lights mixed with greenery. LOVE LOVE the little lights and the soft glow they put off.

Hi I am really new at this and have been following many blogs for months and have throughly enjoyed all of them. I live in upstate NY with my husband Rick of 26 years and have 3 children, ages 18, 22 and 24. I enjoy prim decorating and spend many fridays out tag saleing looking for the special piece. I love repurposing items with paint. It never ceases to amaze me how a simple paint job can totally turn a piece around, the more prim the better!
